It has recently been announced that St James' Park will play host to one of two England friendlies before the Three Lions head off to partake in Euro 2024.

Newcastle United's iconic stadium will host England vs Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday 3rd June with a 7:45pm kick-off.

This will be the first time since 2005 that St James' Park has hosted an England game, however, the stadium was used in 2012 as an Olympic venue.

Ticket release dates and prices have been released

The official England website has released information on when tickets will go on sale and how much they will cost.

Will there by any Newcastle players involved to watch?

The big question will of course be, how many, if any Newcastle United players will be on display in that game?

Gareth Southgate yesterday came in for some flak from Newcastle fans after it was revealed that he was considering calling up Kobbie Mainoo over Lewis Miley.

The fact that Anthony Gordon has been one of the most in-form players in the league this season and still isn't being called up is another huge bone of contention. Perhaps by the time this fixture comes around at St James' Park, Southgate will have seen sense.
