It doesn't take much to get Newcastle United fans ranting about the corruption in the Premier League. In fact, most fans of "The Other 14" only need the lightest of pushes.

Regardless of the fact that Sky Sports have now seemingly lumped Newcastle into the "Big Seven", as a club we certainly don't share the same benefits of the "Big Six".

While clubs like Everton and Nottingham Forest were hit with points deductions for breaching PSR, Manchester City are looking at 115 charges but so many people are unconvinced that they'll receive a similar punishment to the other two clubs - a points deduction which should see them relegated to League One at least.

Newcastle fans only need to cast their minds back a few weeks to the 30th June - PSR Deadline Day in which Newcastle were forced to sell two of their most promising young stars for almost £70 million to avoid the potential of also being slapped with a points deduction.

Manchester United were in breach of PSR until they were handed special treatment

Newcastle were not the only club forced into deals they'd likely not have done were it not for the threat of sanctions as Nottingham Forest threw us Odysseas Vlachodimos for £20 million to avoid another points deduction.

Meanwhile, Chelsea were selling their women's team back to themselves and selling their hotel back to themselves and nothing has been said.

And now, finance expert Stefan Borson has told TalkSPORT that Manchester United failed PSR last season but were given special allowances that saw them get away with it.

The corruption in the Premier League is so blatant and yet nothing is ever done

They were given a £30 million pass for COVID-based expenses in 2022 - something that no other club got, and they were also let off with £35 million of allowances relating to the costs associated with Jim Ratcliffe's buy-in.

How is it, that while clubs like Newcastle United, who bend over backwards to comply with the rules that nobody agrees with, the so-called "Big Six" get given handouts or special treatment where the Premier League just look the other way?

Absolutely nothing will come of this either, you can guarantee it.
