There can be no doubt about the massive positive impact Eddie Howe has had on Newcastle United since his arrival.

The former Bournemouth boss took a couple of years out of the game after being let go by the Cherries and instead of wallowing, he went around various clubs shadowing big managers and learning everything he could.

Newcastle have been the club who have benefitted from this cauldron of knowledge after Howe came to the club and rescued it from certain relegation in his first half-season.

He then followed that up by getting Newcastle back into the Champions League in the very next season. Last season was a struggle with the extra workload from the Premier League and injuries played a huge part, but Eddie Howe still managed to get Newcastle within a whisker of European football again with a very depleted side.

Eddie Howe's ability to coach the best out of players is second to none

PSR has hampered what Eddie Howe can do with Newcastle unable to really go for it in the transfer market, although the players he has brought in have, for the most part, been exceptional.

What has really impressed everyone though, is how he has improved pretty much every player since he arrived. Joelinton is the prime example but even Jacob Murphy has to get a special mention.

And it's Murphy who was asked about what Eddie Howe has done for him as a player and a person with Murphy telling CBS Golazo that you could ask that of all 25 members of the squad and you'd not hear a bad word said about him.

Jacob Murphy believes Eddie Howe has made him a much better player

Howe has had his doubters in the fanbase as there does tend to be an overreaction when things aren't going right, but our players would run through brick walls for Eddie, and that's what matters, and that's pretty much what Murphy said.

"He's been amazing, I think you could ask this question to all 25 in the squad and there won't be one negative comment. Sheer brilliance is all you can speak on Eddie Howe's name.

"He's been amazing, he's turned around the fortune of the club, he's turned around the fortunes of a lot of players here and I'm very thankful that, not only did he give me the platform to be able to perform at Newcastle, but he's also taught me a lot about the game.

"I'm fortunate that I managed to start gaining that knowledge of the time of my career that I did, so I'll forever be thankful for having such a great manager."
