Reports suggest Newcastle are readying £17m bid for 'superstar' Juventus winger

As Newcastle United's search for a right winger continues fans are still confused as to who the main target will be.

While the club are still wrangling over a deal for Marc Guehi, fans are becoming increasingly concerned about the lack of activity in bringing in a right-winger.

The anxiety has not been helped by the Magpies rejecting a bid for Miguel Almiron from MLS side Charlotte FC on Monday indicating that the Paraguayan may well stick around beyond the summer.

Eddie Howe has, according to The Chronicle, told Miggy he wants him to stay and that he's part of his plans ... great!

Newcastle are preparing a £17m offer for Federico Chiesa

If Almiron stays we can't imagine the club will move for another winger which would certainly piss a lot of fans off.

However, a report from TuttoJuve in Italy has claimed that Newcastle are set to offer Juventus €20 million (£17 million) plus add-ons for Federico Chiesa and will offer the player €7 million (£5.9 million) a year in wages,

That's believed to be below what Chiesa would be asking for, but with his options running out he may make a compromise.

Chiesa is becoming the new Bas Dost

Chiesa has long been linked with Newcastle and we get the feeling that if the interest was genuine, we'd have seen some actual movement by now.

The 26-year-old has been described as a 'superstar' by Italian media but a large portion of Newcastle fans remain unconvinced.

One thing is certain, he is step up from Miggy but we just don't see him coming to Newacstle.
