Another report, another left-winger linked with a move to Newcastle United - the one position we're actually well covered for.

As far as future-proofing our squad goes, Newcastle are pretty set at right-back and left wing, however, there seems to be transfer stories breaking every day that involve Newcastle looking at wingers who tend to play on the left side of the attack.

This is our second left-wing transfer rumour of the day with Federico Chiesa's name appearing in reports linking Newcastle with an interest earlier.

Like Chiesa, though, this latest link involves a winger who can play either side of a front three, and this time it's Leeds United's 22-year-old Dutchman, Crysencio Summerville.

Some big names are looking at Summerville

Newcastle are amongst a host of clubs hoping to take the winger away from Elland Road this summer after a superb season in the Championship.

Liverpool and AC Milan are among his admirers after Summerville has managed 18 goals so far this season from the wide position.

To go along with his 18 goals, Summerville also has nine assists coming from 41 games in all competitions for Leeds.

Leeds will definitely add on a 'Newcastle Tax' to any bid for Summerville

Football Transfers believes Leeds will be asking at least £45million for Summerville if he is to leave in the summer, although with automatic promotion to the Premier League still a possibility, they will be hoping they can hold on to him next season should they gain promotion.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are on the hunt for versatile players who can fill various roles, and Summerville fits that description. Given the injury woes this season, Newcastle's lack of squad depth was achingly apparent, and having players who can cover multiple positions just makes sense.

As we said with Chiesa, if Eddie Howe can convince Summerville that he will be best deployed on the right side of the attack, then this is a move that makes sense, however we'd be amazed if Leeds would let us have him for £45million. They'll be out for revenge for signing Karl Darlow.
