Paris Saint-Germain will host Newcastle United at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night in the Champions League. Kick-off is at 8 pm, live on TNT Sports.

The Magpies are out for revenge after being robbed of a place in the knock-out phase of the competition two seasons ago via a controversial penalty in the dying moments of the match against PSG in Paris.

Newcastle had led that game since the 24th minute, but Kylian Mbappe's 98th-minute penalty turned that win into a draw, and Newcastle missed out on qualification. Newcastle fans were devastated anyway, but more furious because the VAR awarded the penalty for a handball that would never have been given in the Premier League.

Righting that wrong is at the forefront of every Newcastle fan's mind tomorrow. Meanwhile, the PSG players have their own concerns going into the fixture.

Woltemade is already striking fear into the PSG defence

Willian Pacho is aware of the threat that Nick Woltemade poses

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, PSG defender Willian Pacho spoke about one player in particular that he expects to cause problems tomorrow.

“There are always difficult opponents. I think Nick Woltemade is a difficult opponent. We have to be focused.

“When Newcastle have the ball they are very good, and they get in behind, so we will need to perform at our best.

“That way we can counter their strength and defend at our best. This is a special match for us because we know that our place in the top eight is at stake.”

We expect Nick Woltemade to start for Newcastle tomorrow

Pacho and Woltemade previously faced off in the Bundesliga, so he's aware of the threat the German possesses. We expect Woltemade to start in Paris tomorrow, so Pacho's nightmares may come true.

Woltemade's goals have dried up massively of late, so bagging one in the Champions League would be ideal to get him back on track, and he can use that fear to prey on his opponents tomorrow night.

A place in the top eight and automatic qualification to the knock-out phase is the prize on the line tomorrow, with the loser having to face a two-legged play-off if they want to progress further.
