Bruno Guimaraes returns as Eddie Howe makes three changes: Our predicted Starting XI for Newcastle United to face Paris Saint-Germain
Newcastle United are in Paris to take on Champions League holders PSG in the final game of the league phase. Kick-off is 8 pm live on TNT Sports.
Eddie Howe has a few big decisions to make with his lineup after the 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday. Newcastle didn't play poorly by any means, but they were missing some creativity thanks to the absence of Bruno Guimaraes.
Bruno will undergo a fitness test ahead of tomorrow's game, but we're confident that the Brazilian will be passed fit to start in Paris.
We also expect Eddie Howe to make a couple of other changes to keep things fresh as the fixture congestion continues.
Goalkeeper
Nick Pope - The Toon No. 1 had an outstanding game in Paris two years ago. More of the same, please.
Defenders
Lewis Miley - We don't think 35-year-old Kieran Trippier has what it takes to keep starting so many games in a row.
Malick Thiaw - Speaking of too many games in a row, Thiaw will rock up his 42nd (we think) if he starts on Wednesday. He must be goosed.
Sven Botman - Probably too soon for Dan Burn to be starting, but we wouldn't be surprised if the Big Man comes off the bench to replace Sven at some point (60-70 minutes, anyone?)
Lewis Hall - First name on the team sheet for us of late. What a massively important player he is.
Midfielders
Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Possibly wishful thinking, but we do feel that Bruno will start tomorrow. We hope so; we are nothing without him.
Sandro Tonali - Sandro loves the Champions League; we're expecting a good game from him.
Jacob Ramsey - There's no Joelinton, and we expect Miley to be at right-back, so the ex-Aston Villa man gets another shot at the Champions League.
Forwards
Harvey Barnes - Barnes is still carrying our biggest goal threat, so we can't drop him.
Nick Woltemade - It's rest time for Yoane Wissa, although we expect him to make a late appearance to run at tired legs.
Anthony Gordon - Mr Champions League has to start in this competition.
Young goalkeeper Max Thompson was sent to Scotland on loan this week, so there will be a change on the bench, but it'll be a weak looking one given Eddie Howe's limited squad options in the competition.
