It may be a three-game week but to change anything in Newcastle United's lineup after the last two performances would be crazy.

Unfortunately, Eddie Howe has to make one change with Joelinton suspended for the game at Portman Road after picking up five yellow cards.

Joelinton was forced off at half-time in the game against Brentford on Wednesday after taking two blows to the face, resulting in a split ear and a split lip. Joe Willock was the preferred replacement for that second half, and we see him being the choice to step in on Saturday too.

Other than that change, though, we expect things to remain the same. Howe has been able to pull the big players out of the action early in the last couple of games so they shouldn't be too tired. If we can take an early enough lead and build on it, we should be able to rest a few again. Fingers crossed.

Goalkeeper

Martin Dubravka - Nick Pope is still out and Dubravka has done well in his absence, although he hasn't had a great deal to do.

Defenders

Tino Livramento - There's always the discussion of if/when Kieran Trippier will be given another shot but we think that time has passed and Tino is the de facto first-choice.

Fabian Schar - Picked up a Carabao Cup suspension in midweek and one card away from a Premier League suspension but options are limited so fingers crossed he stays out of the book.

Dan Burn - Probably knows his run in the first-team is coming to an end with Sven Botman returning to fitness so will want to make sure he stays in Howe's thoughts.

Lewis Hall - Starboy. 'nuff said!

Midfield

Bruno Guimaraes (c) - Bruno and Sandro Tonali are starting to work together like a dream. Long may it continue.

Sandro Tonali - See Bruno Guimaraes

Joe Willock - Looked full of energy and had a real desire to play on the front foot against Brentford. He could cause Ipswich some real problems.

Forwards

Jacob Murphy - Frustrating as all hell at times, needs some new shooting boots, but at least he has a go. Always gives his all and has been very handy lately.

Alexander Isak - Almost as frustrating as Murphy lately but he has that moment of magic in him that can turn a game.

Anthony Gordon - What can we say that hasn't already been said a thousand times? Has to start.

We'd love to see another Will Osula cameo, but we expect we'd have to be winning and out of sight for that to happen. Harvey Barnes is always a danger off the bench too and Tripps could be used to shore things up.

It's still weird knowing we have options after last season.
