Newcastle United have agreed a fee with Southampton for their 20-year-old right-back Tino Livramento, according to Sky Sports sources.
The England under-21 international was reported as being "close to joining" the Magpies as long as two weeks ago by Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian, but other sources have repeatedly claimed that the two clubs have been "far apart" on valuation since.
Negotiations have seemingly continued in earnest, though, and it seems the deadlock has finally been broken. Livramento is now expected to travel to Tyneside to undergo his medical within the next 24 hours.
The move should also open up a return to Spain for Javier Manquillo, who has been rumoured to be in line for a free transfer to La Liga this summer if the club was successful in finding an understudy to Kieran Trippier.
Harrison Ashby's loan move to Swansea City should also be confirmed imminently, too.
