The recent news of Nottingham Forest's four-point deduction is still making headlines, and now they face the possibility of another sanction if they fail to sell a player this summer.

For Newcastle United fans reading this, this Forest news is indeed relevant to us. And to any Forest supporters who've stumbled upon this page – a word of advice: try to avoid breaking the rules in the future.

According to The Times, Forest must generate £30 million in profit from player sales by June 30th. That leaves them a mere 16 days from the opening of the transfer window in June. While several players could be offloaded, Morgan Gibbs-White stands out as a prime target for Newcastle. Our interest was piqued during the January window, and his impressive form since joining Forest clearly justifies this.

Could Gibbs-White fill a Bruno sized hole?

Like many fans, I'm weary of speculating about Bruno's future. Nonetheless, it seems inevitable that someone will depart this summer, and Bruno's release clause is a known factor. Gibbs-White has demonstrated his mettle as a resilient midfielder and, at his age, he possesses the potential to thrive under Eddie Howe. Despite representing England at all youth levels, he has yet to break into the senior team. A move to Newcastle, a team with aspirations, could very well change this.

This season, Gibbs-White has notched three goals and five assists. But it's his overall gameplay that's likely to attract Newcastle's attention. His style appears tailor-made for a partnership with Joelinton or Joe Willock, offering both offensive prowess and the capacity to swiftly transition to defensive duties.

Securing his services won't be easy, or cheap. His market value is estimated at around £35 million, and it's reasonable to expect Forest to demand a higher figure. Newcastle must be prepared to negotiate a substantial sum for this promising talent.
