Fulham travel to Tyneside for a 3pm non-televised clash with Newcastle United on Saturday in the Premier League.

One thing is for certain: when it comes to the Newcastle United team sheet tomorrow, there will be at least one change with Miguel Almiron no longer a Newcastle player.

As for who will be on the bench to replace him remains to be seen but it doesn't sound like it's going to be Callum Wilson or Harvey Barnes who still aren't available for Eddie Howe.

Wilson has played less than an hour of first-team football this season but has been back in training this week suggesting that a comeback may not be too far away.

Remember him?

Newcastle have no players returning from injury in time for Fulham

Meanwhile, Harvey Barnes is still out with a thigh injury and seems to be behind Wilson in terms of a return date. In his pre-match presser (via The Chronicle), Eddie Howe was asked if either would be available for tomorrow's game against Fulham and he gave a very definite answer.

"No chance for this weekend. Callum is getting there - we have seen him in training this week, albeit not the whole session but parts of it and he looked good.

"But no, the plan is not to involve him this week, but there's a chance for the games following.

"Harvey is a little bit behind. I think he's gonna be within the next 2 to 3 weeks."

At least Eddie Howe is okay with a tiny squad. Glad someone is

The only other first-team absentee of note is Jamaal Lascelles who is still recovering from ACL surgery.

Newcastle could really do with Barnes and Wilson to be back sharpish after losing Miguel Almiron.

The Magpies are now very light up top, especially on the right flank, but Eddie Howe has said that it's something he's comfortable with.

"It's probably not ideal for us in this moment to be light in that position but it is what it is and I've always said I've got no problems dealing with that. I'm trying to make the best of the situation, so we'll look at solutions and players in different positions if we need to.

"That's my job to try and find a solution if that happens."
