Newcastle United and Adidas will join forces once again from next season with fans already speculating on how the new kits will look.

No kit manufacturer has ever struck a chord with the Geordie faithful as much as Adidas did in the 90's. From the word go with the famous grandad collar home kit and the blue and maroon hooped away kit, fans have loved the German sportswear giant.

Since the partnership with Adidas ended Newcastle have had Puma and Castore as kit manufacturers and while both have produced some nice-looking kits, their quality and in Castore's case, their service, just couldn't hold a candle to Adidas.

The third kit will be reminiscent of the 1999/2000 Adidas away kit

Now Footy Headlines has shared what they believe will be the colours used on Newcastle's third kit next season.

The 1999/2000 kit will be the inspiration for the 2024/25 third kit

The Adidas EQT logo is in green suggesting that that will be the main colour of the kit, however, we've been looking back and Adidas did do a white and green kit for Newcastle back in the 90's which was criminally underused.

While Footy Headlines claims this will be the third kit, the fact that it's Adidas EQT suggests to us that it may actually be the away kit's colours as Newcastle have been deemed as an 'Elite' club by Adidas, and it was recently revealed that Elite clubs' third kits would sport the Adidas trefoil logo, although Footy Headlines does say they've been told it's the third kit and it will evoke the memory of the 1999/2000 away kit.

Footy Headlines claim the colourway will be used on the third kit

"We have been told the Adidas Newcastle United 2024-25 EQT third jersey has a similar feeling and colorway as the 1999-2000 away shirt, as well as the Adidas EQT football boots collection released in 2021."

Whatever the case may be, we're beyond excited to see what Adidas do with our kits next season as well as all the other merchandise that goes along with it.

We have a feeling that we'll be aiming for a statement transfer in the summer too in order to showcase the new kit.
