Newcastle United were on a run of nine straight victories before Bournemouth brought the Magpies crashing back down to Earth with a 4-1 hammering at St James' Park.
Not only did the club's streak end that day, but so too did Alexander Isak's club record-breaking run of scoring in consecutive matches.
Isak overtook Alan Shearer and Joe Willock's record of scoring in seven consecutive games by going on to bag in his eighth, but that was as far as the Sweden international would make it, falling short of Jamie Vardy's Premier League record of scoring in 11 consecutive matches.
However, just because those runs have come to an end, there are still a few streaks to continue down at St Mary's today when Newcastle take on Southampton.
Magpie 24/7 has dug up a few stats that give Newcastle some extra incentive to win today - not that the players need it, obviously.
Should Newcastle win today it will be the first time since 1996 that the Magpies have won four Premier League away games on the bounce, which seems low does it not?
Also, Alexander Isak's record-breaking run isn't entirely over either; if he scores at St Mary's he'll be the first Newcastle player to score in five consecutive away games.
The cherry on top of it all will be that a victory today would be the seventh in a row against the Saints in all competitions.
Eddie Howe's record-breaking treble-chasing Mags have plenty to play for, but most importantly, they need to play to put the nightmare of last week behind them.
HOWAY THE LADS!
