Newcastle United 'wonderkid' set for another spell on loan - Will they get it right this time?

Since Newcastle United moved to snap up highly-rated Australian wonderkid Garang Kuol, things have hardly gone to plan for the striker.

Garang Kuol has had two loan spells away from Newcastle and both have been fairly disastrous if we're being polite.

Kuol was left out in the wilderness mostly during his half a season loan at Scottish club Hearts as they had a managerial change shortly after his arrival.

Last season Kuol followed Yankuba Minteh to the Eredivisie but where Minteh went to the defending champions, Kuol went to FC Volendam, who I'd be lying if I said I'd heard of before that move went through.

Will it ever work out for Garang Kuol at Newcastle?

Garang Kuol didn't travel to Japan

Kuol was part of Eddie Howe's squad as the Magpies beat Hull City 2-0 on Saturday, but the Aussie didn't travel to Japan with the squad, as the club now looks to find a new club for the 19-year-old next season as reported by Football Insider.

Even with Newcastle's desperate need for a third striker, Eddie Howe feels Kuol would be best served going out on loan again. It's hardly a surprise as the two loan spells he has had have done very little to develop him as a player capable of performing in the Premier League.

We've got no problem with Kuol being loaned out again but we absolutely have to find a worthy club for him, a Championship club would be ideal, but he's done so little to attract attention that it could be difficult.

Shola has to get it right this time

Unfortunately, it looks like Kuol is going to be a failed experiment and it will really be through no real fault of his own having just been sent out on bullsquirt assignments.

We'd love for him to rediscover that form that had him branded as a wonderkid while playing in Australia, but the truth is it was always going to be difficult for him to come to Newcastle and make an impact.

It's over to Shola Ameobi now, third time's the charm!
