Newcastle United take aim at Sunderland in latest Club 1892 Champions League video
Newcastle United have created a mini-series of clips to go along with their Champions League journey this season.
The retro-inspired videos have a VHS aesthetic and feature Newcastle United players in a mock travel advert relating to the upcoming fixture.
The latest one is aimed at Portuguese fans coming to Newcastle for tonight's Champions League encounter.
Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Dan Burn feature in the clip in front of the sights of Newcastle... the bridges.
'There's no Champions League over there'
The Scotswood Bridge, Newburn Bridge and Tyne Bridge are all featured, but then they show the Monkwearmouth Railway Bridge in Sunderland and aim a magnificent jibe at our local rivals.
"No need to go across this one. There's no Champions League over there."
A graphic showing the word "Shan" then pops up on screen to really hammer home that '90s vibe.
Who doesn't love a good bridge?
For those of us who have been around the NUFC Twitter space for a while, this is also a bit of a dig at ourselves, as we'd often see fans trying to tempt new players to the club by sharing picturesque images of our bridges.
Does that still happen? I hope so. It's so delightfully unhinged.
I've not looked into the fallout from our neighbours down the A19 yet, but I'm sure they'll have plenty to say.
