Newcastle United's season has been an odd one in terms of injuries and the suspension handed to new signing Sandro Tonali.

It has meant that at times Eddie Howe has had to get creative with his starting lineups at times, and a lot of youth players have found themselves in matchday squads.

Combine that with the expressive high-tempo way Newcastle play that has caused a lot of people to compare this side with the Entertainers of the Kevin Keegan days whose philosophy was simply to score more than the opposition, then it's no real shock that Newcastle find themselves at the top of this chart.

Newcastle have been spreading the wealth

It's not just the Premier League, but Newcastle find themselves tied with Atalanta of Italy and Bayern Munich in Germany across the five top leagues in Europe as having the most individual goalscorers in their respective leagues.

Newcastle have been sharing the load

Bayern Munich lead the way in the number of goals scored between the three with 75 with Newcastle next in line with 65 followed by Atalanta with 61.

Looking down Newcastle's list of 18 scorers and there aren't really any shock names there which suggests that the sharing of the goals might not just be a product of all of the forced changes to the match-day squads and that most, if not all, would likely have found the net even if our injury record hadn't been so poor. It's more about the distribution of the goals and how few our strikers have amassed, particularly Callum Wilson.

Fabian Schar out-scoring the midfield is the big indicator of our weird season

What would likely have changed would be the positions on the table. Having Fabian Schar ahead of Joelinton and even Bruno Guimaraes definitely feels strange but given how much football Joelinton has missed that makes sense.

As for Bruno, he's been forced to play a lot deeper this season but he was used as a number 8 again at the weekend and he came away with two goals, so hopefully Eddie Howe will stick with him in the advanced role as it suits him so much better.

We can't help but feel that the Adidas promos that have recently circulated starring our players really make sense now. Newcastle is where you come for your GOOOOOOOOOOOOALS.
