Newcastle United booked their place in tonight's FA Cup quarter-final draw via a penalty shootout victory over Blackburn Rovers last night.

Newcastle's route to the quarter-finals has not been an easy one with three consecutive away draws starting at Sunderland, then Fulham and ultimately Blackburn Rovers.

The quarter-final draw takes place tonight at around 7pm and you can watch it on ITV4.

Wembley is almost within touching distance

With just one more round to go before a trip to Wembley for the semi-final, Newcastle fans are hoping any praying for a kind draw for once.

At least give us a home draw please please please

The Magpies will be ball number 1 for tonight's draw and we'll all be sat with out extremities crossed that it's drawn as a home side for the first time this season.

There are obviously some big teams we'd love to avoid left in the competition, but there's still a couple of 'lower league' sides in there that would be seen as a favourable draw by fans.

Obviously, no draw is easy as every side has earned the right to be in the hat/bowl, but avoiding the likes of Liverpool or Manchester City away would be ideal.

Draw ball 1 and home followed by ball 7... Please

The numbers going into the draw tonight are:

1 Newcastle United

2 Chelsea or Leeds United

3 Leicester City

4 Liverpool or Southampton

5 Nottingham Forest or Manchester United

6 Wolverhampton Wanderers or Brighton & Hove Albion

7 Coventry City

8 Manchester City

We'll know tonight which teams will be heading into the quarter-finals, while the likes of Liverpool and Southampton, Forest and Man United and Wolves and Brighton will know who awaits them in the next round before their games get underway tonight.

Please be nice to us, football gods, we've had a crap season, we just want something to go our way. Amen.
