Newcastle United has today revealed a long-term collaboration with, a prominent online sports technology and wagering service.

A subsidiary of Yolo Group, Sportsbet is "recognised for its innovative digital solutions in the sports sector". It offers members "immersive experiences through in-depth content, data analysis, and unique features like cryptocurrency wagers".

Sportsbet is also partnered with Arsenal of the Premier League, is the front-of-shirt sponsor of Southampton of The Championship, has a relationship with São Paulo of the Campeonato Brasileiro, and is affiliated with Nigerian football legend Nwankwo Kanu.

The deal seemingly owes much to Chief Commercial Peter Silverstone, who previously brokered the partnership between Sportsbet and Arsenal, and who today commented:

" is a digital innovator and shares the club's desire to unlock new ways of engaging with supporters and those who love sport.

Having the digital expertise of as part of our Newcastle United family will help us to work together to create content and incentives that will benefit our fans in territories around the world.

Having previously worked with, I have seen first-hand how they engage with supporters, breaking boundaries to activate new ideas. is a great addition to our growing family of partners and a one which will excite our global fan base."

Tim Heath, the founder of Yolo Group, added:

"We are absolutely delighted to partner with Newcastle United - a milestone moment for both organisations.

This partnership represents an incredible opportunity to connect with fans not just locally, but across the globe. We share a common vision to push the boundaries of digital innovation in the sports industry and we are thrilled to work hand in hand with the club to create unforgettable moments for these dedicated supporters worldwide.

This is a great partnership for everybody involved and we thank Kalus Kenny Intelex and ISG for their invaluable contributions in making this a reality."

While we're no fans of sports betting or cryptocurrency, any step towards commercial parity with the "big six" has to be viewed in a positive light. The more money we make from deals like this, the more money we can invest into the playing squad, as the "We Are Newcastle United" documentary has constantly hammered home.
