This morning Newcastle United announced yet another commercial partner as the club continues to push to increase its revenue.

The club has joined forces with another Newcastle-based powerhouse in Fenwick who is currently undergoing a £40million remodeling of their flagship store.

According to the press release put out by the club via the official site this morning, the partnership will see Fenwick become part of the branding of the new hospitality suite The Rooftops which will now be known as 'The Rooftops with Fenwick'

Fenwick and Newcastle United are icons in the North East

The luxury homeware and clothing store will outfit the hospitality suite as part of the branding deal.

As well as the obvious benefits to the club, the two parties are also very keen to invest in the local area as stated in the announcement.

"With a significant shared history in Newcastle, the two city icons will build a partnership that celebrates community and local talent, as well as creating surprising experiences for the people of Tyneside and beyond."

Newcastle should have a healthy transfer kitty in the summer

This announcement comes 24 hours after the confirmation of the 'unique' deal struck up with Poland-based InPost and is another sign that the club is working extremely hard to increase the revenue into the business to offset the restrictions placed upon us by FFP.

With these new commercial partners and the commencement of the £200million deal with Adidas plus the Champions League and TV money, Newcastle should find themselves in a much stronger position going into the summer transfer window in terms of available funds.

Now all that remains to be seen is which Newcastle player gets the job of sitting statue-like in Fenwick's window next winter as part of their famous Christmas display.
