DailyMail reporter Craig Hope took to YouTube to upload a Q&A video going over some of the most talked about topics regarding Newcastle United.

Discussions around the new Director of Football (DoF) and Newcastle's summer transfer activity were the most asked about topics.

Hope happily answered them, and we've got the rundown on what was said.

Firstly, the discussion around the vacant DoF role. Crystal Palace directory Dougie Freedman is the favourite for the role with Hope saying it's "his to turn down" Newcastle boss Eddie Howe seems to know him and like his business already.

Newcastle chief scout Steve Nickson was also considered for the role but decided it was best to leave him to continue in this current role.

A busy summer ahead at Newcastle

Hope continued by saying the "most likely big name to leave" won't be Alexander Isak, he was described as "irreplaceable" in world football and will is getting a new contract. Hope also said that it won't be Bruno Guimaraes to leave.

In terms of outgoings, Hope said that Miguel Almiron will most likely leave this summer. There was concrete interest from Saudi Arabia in January and Newcastle were prepared to let him go but the move fell through.

Hope also said that the chances of Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson leaving are "50/50" but believes that Wilson is more likely to leave this summer.

Newcastle plan for a few incomings

Regarding incoming players this summer, Hope confirmed that talks have taken place for both Bournemouth's Lloyd Kelly and Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo. Tosin knows what Newcastle want from him, which would be for him to be a starter. He is reportedly keen on the move. Kelly's deal is progressing but the agent fee is holding it up.

Hope also said that Newcastle are looking for a goalkeeper, in particular a better ball player to improve on Nick Pope. Aaron Ramsdale is a player liked by Howe and talks have been held although a new keeper is not a priority and would depend on other deals falling into place.

Newcastle are looking to sign a right winger this summer, the three names discussed are Neco Williams, Michael Olise and Pedro Neto. Hope has said this is the key area for improvement especially if Almiron leaves. Whoever is signed at this position will be the marquee signing.

Hope said that Howe believes the midfield is fine as it is.

Howe is also looking for a young forward willing to play as a second choice to Isak. Benjamin Sesko is someone the club likes but would be a costly backup option.

Hope finished by saying that for now Kelly and Tosin are Newcastle's priority.
