Money never sleeps as they say and that's why Newcastle United are always chasing new deals with outside companies.
The latest company to partner with Newcastle United is said to be trading card company, DAKA who are based in China.
Manchester City, Barcelona and several other high-profile clubs have already partnered with DAKA to help raise their profile in the lucrative Chinese market.
Now, reporter Joel Bland has posted on X that Newcastle have agreed a deal with the trading card company.
"NEW: Understand #NUFC have signed a new licensing deal with trading card company, 'DAKA'. This partnership falls under the ambitious international branding plans the club have set, as they aim to raise their profile in China."
Other outlets have corroborated what Bland said.
It's been reported in inews that the deal was struck last week with a source telling the paper:
“That is typical of the kind of market we are now looking to operate in. There’s been a change of focus and we’re aiming to compete with the best.”
The club have yet to formally announce the deal, and are still waiting to announce the partnership with Saudia after the cryptic tease on social media yesterday.
Newcastle are clearly doing all they can to ensure that the business maximises its revenue potential in order to ensure that FFP becomes less of an issue in the future.
