It seems like only this morning we were talking about the negativity in the media surrounding Newcastle United and how some journalists will write things even they don't believe just to get clicks.
That's because it was just this morning that we wrote about that, and here we are just a couple of hours later in the day and that very thing has happened.
A new report from GiveMeSport is now trying to suggest that the uncertainty around Eddie Howe's future is going to drive Bruno Guimaraes away and into the arms of Manchester City.
Once again it's those pesky "sources" who don't provide any actual quotes causing mayhem.
Nine times out of 10 when a report cites "sources" and then doesn't follow up with any actual direct quote, it's safe to assume there is no such source, it's just that the journo has picked up on some he said/she said and made it into a story. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, but it's so often used in cases like this when it's a story designed to unsettle a fanbase.
We all know by now that Bruno Guimaraes is 100% committed to Newcastle United, he's said it often enough that it would be mental to question it at this point.
For a while, even the media had decided there was no more mileage they could squeeze out of the idea of Bruno leaving other than maybe the odd story regarding a club remaining interested.
Now though, with Eddie Howe being linked with the England job and the uncertainty that is creating, it has given a new angle for writers to exploit and that's precisely what GiveMeSport seem to have done here.
They may well have a source who has told them that there's fear in the camp, they may even believe it themselves, but for us Newcastle fans, let's not let this kind of stuff bring us down. Until we see some actual footage of Bruno Guimaraes walking into Manchester City's - or any other club's office for transfer talks - let's just rest easy.
Bruno is staying for at least another season, and as for Eddie Howe, well, this may drag on unless he uses today's interview to categorically rule himself out of the job - but don't hold your breath for that.
