We love a bizarre transfer story here at NUFC Feed, and though this one rings a bell, it's worth covering again as Newcastle United could reportedly be offered the chance to sign a £100 million England international this summer.

Jack Grealish's Manchester City career looks to be coming to an end, with his agents said to be actively looking for a new club for the 29-year-old.

As such, it's expected that he will be offered to Newcastle United this summer. This comes off the back of fanciful links to the England star in January surfaced.

While Grealish isn't going to cost his new club anywhere near the £100 million City paid to take him away from Aston Villa, there will still be plenty of money involved in the deal.

We'll always be thankful for him turning Miguel Almiron into a world beater for a spell

Indeed, as reported by The Chronicle, it's the wages that are likely to be the biggest hurdle for whatever club opts to take him next.

Grealish is on a reported £300k-a-week at City, and while he's probably come to terms with the fact that he'll have to take a pay cut, we'd be amazed if he'd be happy to pay more than half his wages.

Eddie Howe has praised Grealish in the past, but we don't see him being moved by this offer if we're being honest.

It's a no from us

There was a time when we'd have snapped your hand off to have Grealish at Newcastle, but those days are long gone.

He's still clearly a talented footballer and would be a fantastic signing for someone, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere near the player he was at Aston Villa when he had the world at his feet.

Moreover, there's no room for him. We'd rather have Anthony Gordon on the left wing, and we'd rather have Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes anchoring the midfield and Joelinton backing them up. So unless he was offered for a few quid and a massive pay cut, we'll pass, thanks.
