Local musician Andrew Cushin has released "Wor Flags", the third single from his debut album "Waiting for the Rain", and it's all about the matchday experience at St. James' Park.

Signed to Pete Doherty's "Strap Originals" label after originally being discovered by Noel Gallagher, the 23-year-old Cushin is a massive Newcastle United supporter and is finding success in the music business.

Having burst onto the scene in 2020, his latest release is a love letter to the current matchday experience at Newcastle United with a huge nod of appreciation towards Wor Flags in its chorus:

When the flags start flying and you hear us scream, me and the boys keep marching, it's just a dream, and we're dreaming.

And all the fears of tomorrow, they won't surpass, well there's a place that we forget it, away to the match.

Where all my troubles go and I never feel alone, 'cos I've found my home.

Having initially performed on stage acoustically, Cushin has since enlisted a five-piece band to move his music in a new electric-driven direction. He's currently on tour and is playing at the O2 City Hall in Newcastle in November.

"Wor Flags" is out now and available to listen to on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, and more.
