Eddie Howe made nine changes to his starting lineup on Sunday as Newcastle United faced Bromley in the FA Cup third round at St James' Park.

With a busy fixture list, Eddie Howe took full advantage of facing League Two opposition by mixing up his starting lineup and resting as many players as possible.

That meant some lesser-seen players had their chance to make an impression and nobody did that more than youngster Lewis Miley.

The exciting youngster made his first start of this season after featuring heavily in the last campaign before picking up a couple of bad injuries.

Everybody Loves Lewi

Lewis Miley reminded us why we were so excited about him last season

It was a shaky start for the 18-year-old when he failed to deal with Cameron Congreve for the Bromley opening goal, but he soon made up for it with a thunderous strike to tie the score.

After that, Miley grew into the game and we were reminded of why we were all so excited about the future with Miley in the side.

As well as his magnificent all-round performance, fans were quick to notice the teenager's build with the young'un filling out and looking much more muscular than last season.

Everyone was buzzing for Lewis Miley

Lewis Miley posted on Instagram after the game where current and former players lavished him with praise.

Obviously, Captain Bruno Guimaraes was straight in there as he is on all his teammates posts, saying "What a player man".

Harrison Ashby called Miley 'Starboy', while there were comments from the likes of Anthony Gordon, Will Osula and John Ruddy, but also from former Toon players like Elliot Anderson, Michael Ndiweni and Bobby Clark.

Also, Southampton's very own starboy, Tyler Dibling showed the love too. The 18-year-old Saints player has been linked with Newcastle recently, and he didn't harm his reputation at the weekend after bagging an FA Cup brace.
