Keith Downie provides video of Aaron Ramsdale touching down to complete Newcastle United medical
Newcastle United are close to completing their second signing of the summer as Aaron Ramsdale is in Toon to complete his medical ahead of a season-long loan move.
Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has provided a little video on X of Aaron Ramsdale disembarking a jet as he comes to the North East ahead of a loan move from Southampton.
Despite being reported by The Chronicle this morning that Ramsdale was flying out to South Korea for his medical out there, the 27-year-old has indeed flown to Newcastle.
Newcastle have one more fixture out in Korea, taking on Spurs on Sunday, before heading back home, so we expect Ramsdale will just wait patiently to link up with his new squad rather than put himself through severe jet lag.

Downie has also shed light on the fee Newcastle will pay to Southampton as part of the deal, saying that there will be a £4 million loan payment heading to the Saints.
Newcastle will have an option to buy Ramsdale in the summer, rather than an obligation, so we won't end up in a Lloyd Kelly Juventus situation if he doesn't perform.
What remains to be seen is whether Ramsdale will oust Nick Pope as first choice. We doubt he will immediately, but it will be up to him to prove that he's the best 'keeper at the club.

It's finally a bit of positivity in the transfer market, albeit for a player that most Toon fans don't seem to be overly enamoured with.
