Things got a bit heated in the St James' Park tunnel on Boxing Day when Newcastle United took on Aston Villa.

Eddie Howe's attack dog, Jason Tindall was sent off at half time during the game after getting into an altercation in the tunnel with Aston Villa staff.

However, the FA overturned the automatic ban on appeal but continued their investigation into the incident, which almost marred Newcastle's 3-0 win.

The FA have now concluded their investigation and handed out their punishments with both clubs hit with fines.

Jason Tindall is the ultimate outhouse!

Jason Tindall faces no further punishment after denying the allegation

As reported by the BBC, both clubs were charged with failing to control their players and staff with Villa being slapped with a £30,000 fine and Newcastle a £20,000 fine.

The Aston Villa analyst who got into the altercation with Jason Tindall, Victor Manas was also handed a £4,000 fine and a two-game touchline ban after admitting his guilt.

Tindall denied all the allegations and due to a lack of evidence, no further action was taken.

One does not simply provoke Jason Tindall and walk away

We have to give credit to Victor Manas for having a go at 'Mad Dog' in the first place. It was a silly decision for sure; one does not provoke Jason Tindall and get away with it.

Tindall is the ultimate wind-up merchant on the touchline and we're sure that this won't stop him from riling up the opposition.

At least we hope not. That's why we love the bronzed lunatic.
