Jason Tindall was involved in a 20-man scuffle in the tunnel at half-time during Newcastle United's 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

For his part in the melee, the assistant coach was shown a red card and was subsequently absent from the dugout in the second half.

It was expected, then, that Tindall would be missing from the touchline again tonight as Newcastle take on Manchester United.

Seeing Eddie Howe without Tindall lurking in the background is a bizarre sight, but The Chronicle is reporting that it's not one we'll be subjected to tonight.

How big does Eddie Howe think cameras are?

The FA have yet to comment on the incident so punishments could still be incoming

The FA launched an investigation into what happened in the St James' Park tunnel and they have yet to release a statement on the matter, so punishments may be handed down once they've done their thing.

In the meantime, though, Tindall will face no further action and is free to take up his place beside Howe tonight.

Hopefully, his little altercation on Boxing Day won't stop him from needling Ruben Amorim and his staff all night. The last thing we want is a Nerf Tindall.

Jason Tindall is still the only one involved to have had any form of punishment

It would be a bit crazy if Tindall ended up being the only one punished when so many people were involved, but as things stand, the tanned Adonis is the only one to have received any repercussions with his second-half touchline ban.

We couldn't end the year without JT in the dugout; it just wouldn't have been right.

JUSTICE FOR JT!
