Jacob Ramsey spotted in Newcastle United shirt at St James' Park - official announcement imminent
Newcastle United are close to announcing their fourth summer signing as Jacob Ramsey has been spotted at St James' Park wearing a black and white shirt.
The club are yet to formally announce the arrival of Jacob Ramsey, who flew into Tyneside yesterday to complete his medical ahead of a £43 million move from Aston Villa.
Newcastle waited until 10 pm to announce the arrival of Malick Thiaw earlier in the week, so the Ramsey announcement could drop at any time - it may even have come out before this article.
I just hope that the social media crew realise that it's the Battlefield 6 Beta weekend and I've got heavy plans for that, so don't ruin my night by dropping the announcement mid-game!
Jacob Ramsey has been pictured wearing the number 41 on his shirt
Ramsey was pictured by a fan inside St James' Park who posted the image to social media showing Ramsey being filmed walking along the touchline while sporting a black and white shirt with the number 41.
The number 41 is the same as the one he wore at Aston Villa.
The photo isn't the clearest, but the number is a huge hint.
A new signing in, another on the way, we just need the win tomorrow to make it a top weekend
Another signing announcement ahead of the season opener tomorrow would be a big boost and another step towards putting this frustrating summer behind us.
With Ramsey arriving and the deal for Yoane Wissa moving forward, it has the potential to be a good weekend for Newcastle.
A win against Aston Villa would certainly go a long way to repairing the damage. We don't do our own score predictions, but my Dad texted me today saying he thinks we're going to win 2-1, and well, after Chris Sutton and Paul Merson predicted we'd get beat, we'll take it.
