Eddie Howe has hinted that Sandro Tonali could still feature for Newcastle United tomorrow.

As we covered earlier, Sandro Tonali's suspension is not 100% confirmed with the paperwork still sitting in the void.

With that in mind, Eddie Howe has now said there's a 'high chance' Tonali will feature tomorrow as Newcastle travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The head coach is confident Tonali is available for selection

Howe has claimed that the club haven't been officially informed of the ban and as such are still free to utilise Tonali.

This morning it was claimed that the worldwide part of the Italian's ban hadn't been ratified yet, leaving him in a sort of limbo.

Speaking to the media this morning, via The Chronicle, Howe said he expects the 23-year-old to be available to face Wolves at Molineux on Saturday evening.

It would be nice to get that one more game out of Tonali

“It's difficult because we haven't had that official confirmation as a football club yet.

We've heard the news and speculation statement, but we haven't had anything from the Italian authorities at the moment so we're in limbo really waiting for that official confirmation to come through.

I think there's a high chance he could be available for us. There has to be a few things that have to happen before the ban is imposed so let's see.”

We said earlier that there was a thin chance of Tonali being able to play tomorrow, but Howe, the man in the know, is going with a 'high chance'.

We just hope we can get this one more game out of him to give Joe Willock more time to get back to 100% fitness before we have to try him out for 90 minutes.
