Newcastle United fans today learned about a raft of changes to Premier League fixture dates and kick-off times as the festive broadcast schedule was announced.

It was inevitable that there'd be some changes to Newcastle's festive fixtures as TV companies chose the games they wanted to show, but the Magpies have been subject to five change kick-off times and/or dates after the latest announcement.

One saving grace is that they've announced these changes in plenty of time, allowing for any plans to be made or changed with reasonable time to do so.

80% of Newcastle games have been televised this season

Here are the latest fixtures impacted by television scheduling:

Everton (A) - Moved from Tuesday 5th December to Thursday 7th December at 7:30 p.m. for live broadcast on Amazon Prime

Tottenham (A) - Moved from Saturday 9th December to Sunday 10th December at 4:30 p.m. for live broadcast on Sky Sports

Nottingham Forest (H) - Boxing Day - Kick-off has been moved from 3 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. for live broadcast on Amazon Prime

Liverpool (A) - Moved from Saturday 30th December to Monday 1st January 2024 at 8 p.m. for live broadcast on Sky Sports

Manchester City (H) - Moved from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday 13th January 2024 for live broadcast on TNT Sports

The Festive period is always a crucial one in the league

December and January are looking set to be an intense couple of months with huge games against Tottenham, Liverpool, and Manchester City grouped close together.

An 8 p.m. kick-off against Liverpool on New Year's Day, though, who on Earth thought that would be a good idea? It should be a cracking atmosphere but we wouldn't like to police it!

Hopefully, Newcastle will be entrenched in the Champions League spots again by Christmas, but with the current injury crisis, it's not going to be an easy task.
