It has been four days since Newcastle United were held to a 0-0 draw with Everton and still the Toffees fans are trying to debate the decision to not award Dominic Calvert-Lewin a penalty.

The PGMOL has released the audio between the referee and VAR from the incident and a penalty was never even hinted at being awarded throughout the entire check.

For those who missed it, the incident involved Dan Burn putting himself between the attacker and the ball in the box, resulting in Dominic Calvert-Lewin kicking through the back of Burn and falling over.

It was actually really good defending by Dan Burn to manage to get himself between the ball and Calvert-Lewin's foot. Had Calvert-Lewin made contact with the ball it would have more than likely resulted in a goal.

Everton fans can't accept that Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the one who committed the foul

Four days later and we've see Dermot Gallagher deem Craig Pawson's decision to be correct on Ref Watch on Sky Sports News, and now we've heard the actual audio from VAR at the time which shows Pawson saying immediately that he didn't feel it was a penalty.

"No not for me. Not for me. There's a challenge between the two of them. Not for me."

VAR ran through the incident and clarified that it was Dominic Calvert-Lewin who made contact with Burn and ruled that it was not a penalty.

Can Everton fans keep this one going for as long as Arsenal did?

Clearly Everton fans don't seem to understand that it is the defender's job to get between attackers and the ball going off Jack Dude's X post. Unbelievable.

It certainly feels like Everton are going to run this one into the ground like Arsenal did after Newcastle's goal was given last season.

The Arsenal fans kept that one going for months and given how much the Evertonains are still discussing this one today, they could have their record in their sights.
