Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon is currently away with the England squad preparing for tonight's friendly at Wembley against Iceland.

However, before he went he sat down with Sky Sports to answer fan's questions to be released alongside the release of the new Adidas kit and training wear which went on sale this morning at 8am.

Sitting in the new shirt for the interview the first question posed to Gordon was whether players get excited about kit reveals ... he was also asked if they get to see the kits before fans but given that they have to film and shoot all the promotional stuff, I'd have thought that was a given.

Anthony Gordon clearly knows about the connection between Adidas and the Newcastle fans as he alludes to that connection in his answer.

Anthony Gordon knows the significance of the Adidas deal and what it means to fans

Gordon says he can't wait to see the new kits in the stands at St James' Park next season.

"Yeah, I'm really excited. The new collaboration with Adidas is going to be electric for the fans. Just to see it in the stadium and back at Newcastle is going to be an amazing feeling.

"Obviously I've seen the kit and I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. I can't wait to wear them next season."

Demand for the new Adidas gear has been very high

The new gear released this morning has gone down a storm with fans with some supporters literally queuing around the block before the club shop opened this morning to be the first in line to get their hands on the new kits.

We've still got the launch of the away and third kits to come as well as a line of retro-inspired merchandise that Adidas are already teasing.

I think now is the time to ask your boss for a pay rise as your cost of living has just shot up thanks to this £30million partnership.
