Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has issued a hands off warning to any club interested in midfield maestro Bruno Guimaraes amid speculation around his future.
The Brazilian international has drawn interest from some of the top clubs in Europe including PSG, Manchester City and Arsenal.
But Howe has no intention of letting the 26-year-old go.
Bruno has been a key part of Newcastle's squad this season and has helped keep them in contention for a European place.
In this mornings press conference ahead of Newcastle's game against Fulham on Saturday, Howe was asked about Bruno's future.
"Let me tell you, players like Bruno aren't around every corner - they are very, very rare. Howe said.
"He should be appreciated for everything he brings.
"My intentions would be to keep Bruno at the football club for as long as we possibly can, but I can never make any guarantees as that would be absolutely foolish.
“Who knows what the future holds. But our part in this is to try and make the players feel at home and feel happy. Develop them, develop their talents, develop their careers.
"Hopefully that’s enough to keep them here for a long time.”
It's true, he does. Not just because the fans love him and many people want him to stay.
Because there is so much potential with the midfield that hasn't been unlocked.
Next season, we could see the return of Joelinton, Bruno and Tonali as a midfield three. Newcastle fans weren't able to see much of it this season due to Tonali's ban, but next season is the perfect opportunity to unleash those three again.
