The veteran striker still feels he has plenty to offer and didn't want to remain at Newcastle on a pay-as-you-play deal with limited chances of game time.
With his contract expiring, Wilson opted to leave the club in search of a new venture.

If he can keep fit and available, Wilson will thrive at West Ham, they just feel like the perfect fit for him right now.
