There is a definite cloud of frustration that is following Newcastle United around this season.

Whether it's the seemingly never-ending injury list or the inability to string together a decent run of results, things just aren't what they should be in the Toon right now.

After last season's consistent highs and so few lows, this season has at times felt like the exact opposite and while Newcastle are still in the race for Europe, there's a feeling that we're running a bit lame right now.

That feeling, while not being outwardly expressed, will be affecting the players too with several first-team players having recently confessed to not being at their best this season. Perhaps the biggest of which was Kieran Trippier in his interview with NUFC TV heading into the game with Luton.

One man Newcastle fans can always look to for a positive outlook, however, is Bruno Guimaraes who is always smiling off the pitch, always ready to go into the next game with the right attitude.

Today he put up an image on social media along with a quote that has fans getting fired up again - mostly, anyway, some feel Bruno won't be here next season to deliver on the promise, but we've still got just under half a season to get something out of him regardless.

"Breathe and keep going the best will come"

Newcastle United: We've got this

We've been saying it all season that the second half of this season is where our fortunes will change and, yes, we stumbled yesterday against Luton, but the key thing to take away from that game is that we rescued a point after going two goals behind. The Newcastle United of December wouldn't have done that.

We'll be hoping for some good news on Anthony Gordon tomorrow, but the return of Harvey Barnes couldn't have come at a better time with Joe Willock not too far behind.

Let's take that breath and trust the lads, and believe Bruno when he says the best will come.
