Newcastle United are just hours away from the biggest match of the season so far as they look to defend and hopefully increase their two-goal lead as Arsenal come to St James' Park for the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.

One good performance stands between Newcastle United and Wembley and while that two-goal cushion from the first leg provides a modicum of comfort, the contrast in current performances between Arsenal and Newcastle does not.

There's still confidence amongst the fanbase, but it's far from as strong as it was last month but the Toon Army can't afford to let that doubt detract them from the massive part they will play tonight at St James' Park.

Wor Flags have been working hard to do their bit and have even put out a post on X of a clip from the win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and said that the atmosphere tonight needs to be at the same level.

Bruno Guimaraes appeals to fans to make it loud at St James' Park tonight

As if the fans needed any further encouragement to bring the noise, Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes echoed Wor Flags' sentiments in a reply to their post.

"We need an atmosphere like that for tomorrow!! We go together as always. Howay the lads 🖤🤍3️⃣9️⃣"

Just like the team raises their game for big opposition, the St James' Park crowd knows how to bring it when it's needed.

Let's do this!

The last couple of times I've expressed confidence in a win we've been beaten, so I won't do it. I'm just going to take it as it comes tonight.

Kick-off tonight is at 8pm and the game is live on Sky Sports.

HOWAY THE LADS!!!!
