Arsenal humbled Newcastle United at the Emirates tonight coming away 4-1 winners in what was a shockingly one-sided affair.
Mikel Arteta's men were simply sensational all game, but particularly in the first half when they barely let Newcastle have a touch of the ball.
Arsenal's passing was sublime, their running off the ball opened up the Newcastle defence time after time and to be honest, it was a shock that the Magpies went in just two goals behind.
Alan Shearer clearly didn't enjoy the Newcastle display in the first half taking to X to voice his frustrations.
Shearer posted a censored question that we were all thinking.
"Any danger of putting a f------ tackle in?"
We were all thinking it, Big Al just said it. He managed to stay off social media until full time after that when he summed up the game perfectly.
"Arsenal brilliant. Newcastle shambolic."
Newcastle were very poor on the night, there's no getting away from that, but credit where it's due, Arsenal were amazing. They would have been a joy to watch if it was against literally any other team. It sticks in the throat paying them such high praise after the way they went on after our win at St James' Park, but sometimes you just have to concede to the better team.
