Newcastle United Women gained their second promotion in as many seasons with a stunning 10-0 win over Huddersfield at Kingston Park.
Becky Langley has now guided the Women to the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division title and as a result, the lasses will play in the much shorter titled Women's Championship.
The lasses did it in style in front of a record crowd at Kingston Park of 7382.
Amanda Staveley promised that the women's team would be as much a part of their plans post-takeover as the men's team, and true to her word she quickly turned them into a professional outfit.
Now, after their first full season as a professional club, NUWFC romped away with the league title and up into the second tier of the women's game.
Amanda Staveley was spotted on the pitch during the celebrations drinking champagne from the trophy, as is her right as Queen of the North.
This now means that Becky Langley's Lasses are just one more promotion away from the big leagues and the Women's Super League which would be a massive income generator for the club.
We are absolutely buzzing for the lasses who are breaking records left and right on their journey from a semi-professional outfit languishing in the fourth tier of women's football, to absolute powerhouses.
Would another promotion next season be too much to ask? Probably, but could you imagine?
Congratulations to Becky Langley and all the lasses on an amazing season. 10-0, man. Wow!
