At this point we're all braced for some player exits this summer, but we're not 100% sure on the calibre of the players we'll be letting go.

Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes are two names that are often brought up as sellable assets, but we can't see any world in which selling either of those makes sense.

There are a few first-team players who could be up on the chopping block with Miguel Almiron widely regarded as an expendable player who will likely move on this summer.

We'd also not be shocked to see Kieran Trippier leave in the upcoming transfer window either, especially given his close call in January.

Newcastle want to bring in £50m this summer

Now Ben Jacobs has told Give Me Sport that Newcastle will definitely be looking to generate funds through player sales this summer, which I don't think was a surprise to anyone, but he's managed to attach a figure to his story.

Jacobs has said that his sources have suggested that the Magpies will be looking to raise between £30million-50million on top of what they'll already be permitted to spend.

That's good news for fans who are worried about Bruno and Isak as it doesn't look like we're trying to raise that kind of money. Had Jacobs said we were looking to raise £100m then we'd be a bit more worried.

There are a few expendable players who could be cut loose

We think Miguel Almiron could bring in anywhere between £20million-£30million alone, plus another £15million or so for Kieran Trippier and maybe £18million for Callum Wilson, and that's job done.

There are still a couple of other players who could be in danger. Matt Targett is one, although who's going to pay money for him now? We might also pick up a couple of million for Martin Dubravka.

The problem is, all these players need replacing too, as well as the need to fill gaps that we already have in the squad. It's going to be a busy summer, that's for sure.
