Let's be honest, it feels like there aren't many wingers that Newcastle United haven't been linked with this summer, but some have seemed more believable than others.
The Magpies have been reported to have been interested in young wingers with huge potential to experienced players possibly past their peak and everything in between.
One of the younger players with potential was Juventus' Argentinian forward, Matias Soule who has been hailed as the next Lionel Messi - as indeed most gifted Argentine wingers are.
Newcastle were weighing up a move for Soule in the January window but PSR had us by the throat so no deals were made.
Newcastle were joined this summer by Leicester City, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Tottenham and Brentford from the Premier League in their interest in Soule and Caught Offside are now claiming that the 21-year-old has made his choice of where to go next.
Soule also had the opportunity to remain in Italy with Napoli after impressing while on loan at Frosinone, but in April it was reported that he had his eye on a Premier League move and that now seems to have come true.
However, it's not Newcastle United with our exciting project, or Aston Villa with their Champions League football that Soule has chosen.
If Caught Offside are to be believed, then Soule has opted for a move to newly-promoted Leicester City with terms already having been agreed while Juventus are prepared to accept their £21million proposal.
One big positive to take away from this is that if a player can choose Leicester over Napoli, Newcastle and Aston Villa then the Magpies still have a chance when we go in for these players that we often say we've not got a chance to get.
Just because we are often putting ourselves up against clubs playing European football, not every player is going to be swayed by that fact.
