Newcastle United's chances of signing Argentine winger who has been likened to Lionel Messi have taken a big boost after the player admitted he's got an eye on a move to England.
The Magpies have been linked with an interest in 'Messi-esque' Juventus winger Matias Soule a few times recently and with the 21-year-old's loan at Frosinone coming to an end he has been asked about where his future lies.
Juventus are likely to cash in on the huge amount of interest in Soule due to him having an outstanding season with Frosinone, and they won't be short of offers for his services.
Tuttomercatoweb have run some quotes from Soule regarding his future and where he sees himself next season.
While nothing is decided yet, Soule has a clear favourite destination in mind which should come as good news for Newcastle.
“I have no offers yet. I don’t know what I will do yet, it’s too early. I had offers from Saudi Arabia in January, but now I have nothing concrete. If you give me the chance to choose the league, I choose England, it’s one of the best in the world. It would be a dream to be there. I would also like to have a chance at Juventus.”
With Juventus needing to sell in the summer, that gives Newcastle the perfect opportunity to bring Matias Soule to England to realise his dream.
It's believed that Juventus will want €40million (£34million) for Soule which is not a huge fee, but also hardly insignificant either when you're considering a young player who hasn't played in the Premier League before.
However, before his loan to Frosinone, Soule had made a few appearances for Juventus, including three substitute outings in the Champions League, so does have experience playing at a high level.
We definitely like the look of Soule who plays as a right winger. He looks like the ideal long-term replacement for Miguel Almiron who we expect will leave the club this summer.
