There's bad news coming out of the Netherlands this morning, as Newcastle United loanee Yankubah Minteh is set to face a spell on the sidelines.
Minteh signed for the Magpies in the summer and was immediately loaned out to Eredivisie champions Feyenoord, where he's had a fantastic start to life in Rotterdam.
The 19-year-old winger has already bagged three goals in nine games for Arne Slot's side but is now expected to be missing for several weeks after Feyenoord posted an update on X.
It certainly seems that Minteh is thriving in the Netherlands, but there have been some critics of his game suggesting that he may be a little bit too greedy and all about personal glory.
He's still young, however, and that kind of thing can be coached out of him.
Eddie Howe has often said his perfect signing is someone he can develop, even reiterating that fact last night at Pete Graves' book launch where Howe took part in a Q&A alongside Kevin Keegan.
Hopefully, Minteh will have a speedy recovery and will be back to banging in goals for Feyenoord soon before heading back to Newcastle in the summer.
Well, we say back, he's never actually been yet as he signed his Newcastle contract in the Netherlands in July and went straight to Rotterdam to join up with his temporary teammates for pre-season.
