'You're already home': Newcastle United fan Gabby Logan issues impassioned plea to Alexander Isak
Sports presenter Gabby Logan, a Newcastle United fan, has issued a plea to Alexander Isak to stay at Newcastle United amid strong rumours that he is ready to turn his back on the club.
As outlined, with a bit too much glee for our liking, by Craig Hope, the Alexander Isak situation is one that has been bubbling under for a while at Newcastle with the Daily Mail reporter pointing out Isak's slow start to the last campaign as an indicator that things weren't right with him as far back as 12 months ago.
In his latest YouTube video, Hope lists off all of the things that have led Alexander Isak down this path, and honestly, it's not hard to see why things are the way they are.
However, while we slowly start to come to the reality that our star striker's future likely lies elsewhere, Gabby Logan has used her platform on the Sports Agents podcast to try and change Isak's mind.

We're sure that even Gabby knows her words are unlikely to have any effect, but it's still a powerful message, and one that Isak would do well to heed.
“This is my personal plea to Alexander Isak to think again about those other options.
“Alexander, I speak to you from the heart as someone who spent a long time in the North East, whose passion for Newcastle grew from living amongst the black-and-whited shirted folk of Newcastle.
“The citadel of St James Park, that sits high and proud at the centre of the town, is like a cathedral of hope, of creativity, of joy.
“You know yourself: on match day, there probably isn’t anywhere else in the world you’d rather play football.
“It is a city that has grown champions and heroes. From Jackie Milburn to Alan Shearer, you have walked in the footsteps of some giants.
“You know the love and adoration that comes from being Newcastle’s number nine.
“Alexander, I am not going to go on and on at length for you to reconsider considering other options, but I think you know in your heart, in your Swedish bones, you know the Viking spirit somewhere inside you is akin to what is inside a Geordie.
“We are aligned. Many people say that the Geordies actually come from the Vikings, so I think you practically – if you looked inside your DNA – you are practically a Geordie.
“Alexander, don’t leave. Don’t go anywhere else. You are already at home!”
Newcastle fans are using images of Wor Flags displays to show how much Isak means to the club
It's a powerful and poetic message, and as was pointed out by fans on social media in the past few days, posting images of huge banners and displays bearing Isak's name at St James' Park - he's not going to get that anywhere else.
Other clubs are now trying to copy Wor Flags, but none have really come close to matching what our lads have achieved, and that includes Liverpool.
But, it's easy for us as fans to sing the praises of our club over another, but when the other club just won the Premier League title and can throw insane amounts of money at you, as a player, do you really care about a few flags?
This is the reality we're facing. It sucks, but it is what it is.
