Unless you've been living under a rock you'll be fully aware of the great, backbreaking work Wor Flags do to create stunning atmospheres at St James' Park for Newcastle United's home games.

What you may not know about Wor Flags is that they rely on YOU the Newcastle supporters to exist.

While they have support from the club, Wor Flags aren't funded by Newcastle United and rely on your donations to create the amazing displays you see before kick-off at St James' Park.

Their efforts continue but every so often it's important to remind fans of how they can help support their efforts and this time they have brought in Geordie hero Alan Shearer to appeal for help in Wor Flags' mission to honour another Newcastle legend.

Donate if you can to help Wor Flags create King Kev-related magic

Wor Flags are preparing a display to honour Kevin Keegan. As Alan Shearer himself says, one of the most important people in Newcastle United's history.

There aren't many people more deserving of a stunning tribute than King Kev after his exploits as a player and two-time manager of our great club.

You can donate or simply make a purchase from the online store on Wor Flags' website and you will be helping to create something special.

Kevin Keegan has stayed away from Newcastle since he quit as manager under Mike Ashley

Kevin Keegan has refused many invitations to come back to St James' Park since he walked out of the club in disgust at Mike Ashley's stewardship.

Then since the takeover, he has stayed away as he doesn't want to draw attention away from what the new regime are doing.

However, it has been long enough now that surely we can tempt him back to St James' Park and hopefully a huge stadium tribute to the great man may make him feel that it is time to come home.
