Eddie Howe is handing two of his new signings their St James' Park debuts in today's Sela Cup game against Stade Brestois.

We'd have expected Odysseas Vlachodimos to be in goal today but Howe has gone with Martin Dubravka with Oddy on the bench - they could be playing a half each.

Lloyd Kelly and Will Osula get their first taste of playing at St James' Park as a Newcastle United player.

Alfie Harrison is also given his first start at St James' Park after his move from Manchester City in January.

Kieran Trippier captains the side this afternoon

Kieran Trippier plays a part after his return to training this week while Bruno Guimaraes makes his second pre-season outing.

Exciting winger Trevan Sanusi is on the bench for the second time in as many days. After playing 45 minutes yesterday we don't expect he'll be used today, but you never know.

We're looking forward to seeing Joe Willock again after he looked impressive last time out as he makes his return to full strength following a troubled season.

Newcastle Women are putting up a fight against AC Milan

Today's opponents Stade Brestois, like last night's opposition Girona, finished third in their league last season and are heading to the Champions League for the first time.

The winner of this afternoon's game will lift the Sela Cup with Newcastle hoping to retain the trophy for the second year.

Kick-off is at 4pm at St James' Park after the Women's game against AC Milan wraps up. That game has just seen an equaliser for Newacstle on 88 minutes to make it 2-2 literally as I'm writing this which will see the game head to penalties if there are no more goals in stoppage time. Good luck, lasses!
