It's a quick turnaround for Newcastle United again as they are back in action on Saturday evening after the huge win against Arsenal on Wednesday night.

After sailing into the Carabao Cup final, Newcastle now face Birmingham City in the FA Cup where we expect Eddie Howe to ring the changes with his starting lineup.

The Newcastle gaffer hinted that it would be a different XI to face Birmingham in order to avoid over-working those who worked so hard on Wednesday night.

In fact, we're expecting so many changes that we don't even have a graphic for one of our selections in our lineup builder.

Left wing is a secret (it's not, we just don't have him loaded in our lineup builder yet)

Goalkeeper

Nick Pope - It seems as though Martin Dubravka is the number one choice right now, so we might as well give Pope a run out in the cup.

Defenders

Tino Livramento - Missed out on Wednesday with Eddie Howe preferring Kieran Trippier, which proved to be the right call; at least Tino will be fresh on Saturday.

Emil Krafth - Making a return from injury, Krafth could definitely do with a good run out.

Dan Burn - Options are limited at the back, so Big Dan Burn will have to continue his run in the side. He's not let us down this season, so we're sure he'll be fine.

Matt Targett - Former Aston Villa man going up against Birmingham City. Just for the spice factor alone.

Midfielders

Sean Longstaff - Longy survived the winter cull, so while we still have him, we might as well use him.

Lewis Miley - This is the perfect type of game for Miley to get 90 minutes under his belt and prove to Eddie Howe that he's not far behind the Holy Trinity of Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton.

Joe Willock - He has some work to do to convince us that he's still got it after some disappointing outings this season.

Forwards

Will Osula - Slightly out of position playing as a right forward, but we're sure he won't mind as long as he's out there.

Callum Wilson - Likely to only last 45 minutes, but surely at this point, it's just a match sharpness issue rather than fitness related. He's been in rehab longer than Pete Davidson/

Trevan Sanusi - Our mystery guest is the youngster who caught everyone's eye in pre-season. Sanusi has made a first-team appearance this season and while he lost the ball a lot, his confidence was impressive. Also, we're sure he'd love the chance to play against his old side.

We expect that Howe will have some heavy hitters on the bench if this venture doesn't work out. He may even tweak the formation to make things fit, we don't know.

It's almost impossible to guess how he's going to go with this one if his aim is to rest his big players as much as possible.

We'll find out on Saturday at 4:45pm when the team news comes out.
