Alan Shearer (Footballer)

As if we could start with anybody else. Alan Shearer is Newcastle United's all-time leading goalscorer and the English Premier League's all-time leading goalscorer. A world-class striker who captained both his boyhood club and his country, Shearer's love for Newcastle is well-known. He is now a regular pundit on BBC's world-famous "Match of the Day" programme and often struggles to hide his allegiance while delivering his analysis on Newcastle matches.

Sting (Musician)

"Is Sting a Newcastle fan?" is perhaps one of the most asked questions in the history of human civilisation. The answer is an unequivocal "yes". Born in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, Gordon Sumner has been caught on camera at multiple Newcastle matches. He also backed a fan campaign against Mike Ashley's plan to sell naming rights to St. James' Park in 2009 and wrote a song for NUFC called "Black and White Army (Bringing The Pride Back Home)" ahead of the 1998 FA Cup Final.

Ant McPartlin & Declan Donnelly (Television Presenters)

Getting their big break as "PJ & Duncan" on BBC's children's show "Byker Grove" in the 1990s, "Ant and Dec" have been a staple on British television ever since. The duo have won "Best Presenter" at the UK National Television Awards 21 times in a row and were both awarded OBE status by Queen Elizabeth II in 2016. Tony Blair (Politician)

Serving as British Prime Minister from 1997 until 2007, Tony Blair's Newcastle United fandom was known even before he was elected Prime Minister in May 1997. Tweedy (formerly Cole) was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, growing up in Walker and Heaton during the 1980s. Rising to fame in late 2002 when winning a place in "Girls Aloud", an all-female pop music group created through ITV's hit television show Popstars: The Rivals, Cheryl has been a mainstay in British popular culture ever since. Although not as fanatical in her support of Newcastle United as most others on this list, she did joke that she would like to buy the club from Mike Ashley in 2009.

Matty Healy (Musician)

Lead vocalist and main songwriter for the pop rock band the 1975, Healy is the son of Tim Healy and Denise Welch (both actors), who also appear on this list. Although born in London, he spent most of his early years living in Hedley on the Hill, Northumberland, before moving to Cheshire when he was nine. Matty takes trips to St. James' Park whenever his schedule allows and also has a NUFC tattoo. At his most recent gig in Newcastle, Healy delighted in the club's return to the Champions League.

Sam Fender (Musician)

North Shields-born Fender is perhaps the most NUFC-synonymous celebrity of the moment. Off the back of two enormous sold-out shows at St. James' Park, where he played on stage to over 100,000 over two nights, Fender is at the peak of his powers. Typically joined on stage by Newcastle shirt-wearing saxophonist Johnny "Blue Hat" Davis, Fender is deeply entwined with his football club, and the gigs he played at Newcastle were the realisation of a childhood dream he shared with his band.

Brian Johnson (Musician)

Also on stage at one of those sold-out Sam Fender shows at St. James' Park, the lead singer of AC/DC has never shied away from his love of Newcastle United. Having almost invested in the club in the early 1980s after being invited to meet the board by Jackie Milburn, Johnson later had a cameo in the 2005 film "Goal", which was primarily about NUFC. In it, he played the part of a Newcastle supporter in a bar in California watching a Toon game.

James Bay (Musician)

Although born In Hertfordshire rather than on Tyneside, Bay has been a Newcastle United supporter almost all of his life. The BRIT award-winning singer-songwriter, most notable for his 2014 hit single "Hold Back the River", has even appeared in away ends in recent seasons. Bay lists Alan Shearer as his hero and while he admits he doesn't get to as many matches as he would like to due to his schedule, he still tries to see the team play live whenever they are down in London.

Cam Norrie (Tennis Player)

A British professional tennis player, Norrie was born in South Africa and raised in New Zealand until he was 16. Turning professional in 2017, he has made a name for himself with his left-handed play and double-handed backhand. Reaching a career-high world ranking of eight, he has won five ATP singles tour titles and one doubles title and was the first British man since Sir Andy Murray to reach a Wimbledon semi-final in 2022. Norrie is a lifelong Newcastle fan despite his father being Rangers daft.

Chris Eubank (Boxer)

We might be pushing it a little bit here if we're being completely honest, but there are multiple sources online that say the former British world boxing champion is a fan of Newcastle United. Despite being born in London and living in Brighton, Eubank has been adamant in the past when questioned about his support. He has been seen at numerous St. James' Park functions and at a few Newcastle games, so we're claiming him as one of our own.

Brian Blessed (Actor)

Blessed has one of the most distinctive voices on the planet and has a remarkably long career in film and television. Born in Yorkshire, he's most well known for "Z-Cars", "Flash Gordon", and "I, Claudius", but has also featured in and directed numerous stage productions of Shakespeare. Although he grew up as a Manchester United fan, Blessed fell in love with NUFC while on a family holiday to Newbiggin by the Sea and has been a staunch supporter ever since.

Jimmy Nail (Actor)

A well-known British actor, singer-songwriter, and musician, Nail is perhaps still most fondly remembered for his portrayal of the rowdy bricklayer "Oz" in the television drama "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet" in the 1980s. Nail also had a British number-one hit single in 1992 with "Ain't No Doubt". His song "Big River" is about Newcastle upon Tyne and is strongly linked to Newcastle United, with Jimmy regularly being pictured in the crowd at St. James' Park.

Tim Healy (Actor)

Also rising to fame in the 1980s thanks to "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet" due to playing the group of worker's de-factor leader "Dennis", Healy has been a fixture on British television for four decades. His most recent screen success came playing the cross-dressing character Les/Lesley on "Benidorm", and he has also worked extensively in theatre over the years. Tim is the father of Matty Healy of the 1975 and the former husband of Denise Welch, both of whom also appear on this list.

Robson Green (Actor)

A respected actor, singer, songwriter, and television presenter, Green is a native of Hexham, Northumberland. He had his breakthrough in the hit 1990s BBC television drama "Soldier Soldier", and he subsequently formed a successful pop music duo with co-star Jerome Flynn called "Robson & Jerome". Considered a cherished figure in British entertainment, Green has had further on-screen successes since the 90s and is a well-known Newcastle United supporter.

Matt Hancock (Politician)

Hancock is a former British Conservative Party politician who was the MP for West Suffolk from 2010 until 2021. Most notable for being the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care during the global COVID-19 pandemic, Hancock resigned in June 2021 following controversy over a breach of his own social distancing regulations. A prominent sports presenter on British television and former Welsh international gymnast, Logan has never been shy in professing her love for the Magpies. Although born in Leeds, Logan began supporting Newcastle while studying at Durham University due to her boyfriend at the time being a huge fan. Often seen on the BBC's "Final Score" and "Match of the Day", Logan also fronts most major sporting events for the broadcaster, including the Olympic Games and World Cup.

Matt Baker (Television Presenter)

Born in Durham and finding fame on the legendary children's television show "Blue Peter" between 1999 and 2006, Baker has since hosted several BBC programmes. Most notable for being the main host of "The One Show" between 2011 and 2020, he can also be seen on "Countryfile", a long-running Sunday evening rural affairs show. Asim Chaudhry (Comedian)

A stand-up comedian who has transitioned into becoming a star on the big and small screen, Chaudhry was born in Hounslow, London but is a lifelong Newcastle United supporter. Most known for co-creating and starring in the BAFTA-winning mockumentary series "People Just Do Nothing", he also appeared in the blockbuster movie "Wonder Woman 1984". Denise Welch (Actor)

Gaining fame for her roles in popular British soap operas "Coronation Street" and "Waterloo Road", Welch also starred alongside Robson Green in the hit BBC drama series "Soldier Soldier" in the 1990s.
