Details have now been released for the number of tickets available to fans of Newcastle United and Liverpool wishing to attend the Carabao Cup final at Wembley next month.

All the information for those fans wanting to try their luck is available here with tickets going on sale later this week.

Newcastle United have been allocated 31,939 tickets with prices ranging from £41 - £150 for adults and £25 - £75 for concessions.

Liverpool have been allocated 32,196 tickets with prices, obviously the same.

And the corporations go wild!

They're here, they're there, they're every chuffing where, corporate seats, corporate seats!

Those of you with a knowledge of Wembley Stadium may already have noticed where I'm going with this - The two clubs playing in the final have been allocated 64,135 seats in a 90,000 seater stadium, meaning that just shy of 30,000 tickets will go to corporate seating. Almost a third of the stadium will be filled with people who have barely any idea what's going on, and certainly aren't likely to be the ones making noise.

One of the first points Newcastle United made on the website is that while the allocation this year is lower than when we faced Manchester United two seasons ago, the club have allocated a higher percentage to fans, meaning there'll be fewer tickets going to the club's corporate partners.

We get that football is a money game these days, but each club already puts aside a chunk of their allocation for people who aren't necessarily fans - players' friends and families get a lot of tickets, and while, yes, they are fans, they're not the ones paying week in week out to see their beloved club. Once their significant other in transferred, they'll likely not give a rat's ass about Newcastle.

Newcastle fans will bring the noise regardless of numbers

Newcastle's supporters turned Wembley black and white and out-sang the Man United fans for 90 minutes two years ago, even when it was clear they were beaten, so we have no doubt that the Toon Army will turn up and make themselves heard again; it's what we do.

It's just annoying that so many fans of both teams will miss out on tickets because of such a ridiculous corporate allocation.

The game, my friends, is gone. GONE, I SAY!
