It looks like Newcastle United are about to watch another alleged target move to a Premier League rival.

Newcastle fans have been very frustrated this summer watching players linked to the Toon end up moving elsewhere.

Whether or not fans wanted those players is largely irrelevant at this point, it's just annoying watching teams around us strengthen with players who had been linked to us while we sit idle.

West Ham United appear to have won the race to sign 22-year-old hot shot Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United despite interest from Newcastle and Liverpool.

Still not done but looking very close

Fabrizio Romano has posted an update today that looks very positive if you're an Irons fan, which, if you're reading this we're assuming you're not.

"West Ham have reached an agreement with Crysencio Summerville on personal terms.

"The player said yes to contract and project.

"Negotiations underway between West Ham and Leeds United, after first bid revealed last week."

Summerville could have been a good addition for Eddie Howe

Newcastle still desperately need a winger and the man Daniel Farke hailed as 'outstanding' was a good candidate after an impressive season in the Championship.

The Magpies also had an eye on his teammate Wilfried Gnonto but Leeds were already in a strong position without needing to sell, so we imagine that move would be even harder to pull off now.

Thankfully there are still pages and pages of other wingers who have been mentioned as a potential Newcastle signing. We just need to actually make a chuffing move for one.
